The North Remembers

Kings Cut Their Names Into Stone
Rain Entered Every Letter
Moss Covered Every Crown
Her Name Took Root Elsewhere
Her Name Lived In Daughters
Taught To Stand
It Lived In Sons Taught Strength Was Not Control
It Warmed The Homes That Winter Could Not Silence
It Moved Through Songs Sung Softly By The Fire
It Passed From Weathered Hands To Younger Hands
No Monument Could Hold A Life That Wide
Where Is Her Story Written
Not In Stone
In Us
Not In Stone
In Us
Not In Gold
In What She Gave
