The Future Calls

Even in the darkest night,
A single spark can start a light.
Alisa, a girl
Who walks between centuries.
Time is a scythe,
It reaps the proud and high.
The towers
Fall, the oceans steal the land.
But through the void, a Soviet star
Will shine.
A child extends her unprotected hand.
She knows no fear, the pirate songs of blood.
The meal of bone is
Clutched against her chest.
Across the years,
Through darkness and through blood,
She marches on, refusing any rest.
