City Lights

A crush
All along my motion.
City light shine through.
Every line is on my notebook
Every page of foul.
Never spoke
About tomorrow.
Built the here and now
Open roads ahead of me.
Every signal
Turning green.
Pressure building deep inside.
But my vision stays clean.
Let
The windows down slowly.
Let the skyline fade.
Had a picture in my mind
Never needed them to stay.
Every dollar
I had a purpose.
Every move was calculated.
Now the road feels closer
