His Psalm Of Life

Do not tell me life is hollow, though
The earth receives the clay
Christ has walked the road we follow and has rolled the stone away
When our hearts were cold and sleeping, he broke through the sealed of night.
Now the souls his hands are keeping
Wake to walk within his light
Not for crowns of our own making, not for praise that bears our name.
He has called the dead to waken, we have nothing left to claim
Rise and walk, the
Lord is leading
Through the fields of grief and strife.
From the hands once torn and bleeding
Comes the gift of everlasting life.
Not our hands have quit the grave, not our will that made us whole.
Christ alone is strong to save
And his spirit wakes the soul
And his spirit wakes the soul
Days are brief and hours are flying, mortal hearts must cease to beat.
