I Need Rain

I watch the sky hanging gray
Wishing the clouds would blow my way
Dust on the porch, cracks in the ground
Silence is hanging all over this town
The air is thick freezing the clock
Heat waves are dancing down on the block
The leaves won't move on the tree
We're all just waiting to see
Hear all the thunder down low
Let the heavy winds blow
The sky is dark again
I need the rain
Hey man, I am waiting for rain
I am waiting for rain
I need a cold splash now
I need it.
Need it now
